Needs of bridegrooms in India
Hi!
In those olden days , if a woman knows (or well versed) in domestic work ,like cooking ,Cleaning and maintaining household, with a good look ,family backgroundand an elementary education,, she could get a good husband. Of course Dowry !Grand celebration of the marriage ! etc go with it
Due to rapid change in modern living, now a woman needs to be educated , also ina good decent job earning good salary in addition to know the domestic/household works etc. That is now she has to manage a dual position of earning as well as keeping the household ,etc..Dowry is still there with all these!Grand celebration of the marriage!
Then she may get a good alliance, a husband well educated ,in good position.
This is all about arranged marriages.
What about the socalled Love Marriages! ie without consent of the parents ! This is now taking place every where and soon we may find "arranged marriages in the decline." This system of mariage if successful (because of lack of support from parents & relatives) is without much of expenditure. The girl and boy like each other. That is the only criteria.No caste/Creed/Religion. This happens mostly among office going/employed ladies and gents. They work together for hours in offfice ,ming le freely etc and ultimately end as couples. Both earn almost equally .As the society is fast changing and western pattern is emerging these changes though not very ideal are getting popular.
